The Great Trail (Most Difficult)
A very good test over 14 miles of mixed terrain with 2,200 ft. of climbing, including not only spectacular panoramas of the three river valleys but also a surprising view of the Banksville valley to the south.
The Big Loop (Most Difficult)
Nine miles in length, 1,702 ft. of climbing, spectacular vistas including the city and the Monongahela and Ohio River valleys, thick woodsy trails and WPA-era stone retaining walls.
Five Mile Loop (Difficult)
How many times have you looked up at Mount Washington from downtown? Now you can traverse the top edge of it. 934 ft. of climbing with great views of city and West End.
2.6 Mile Loop (Moderate)
Tread mindfully—the first part of this short, stunning hike winds around Mount Washington’s steep face. You’ll be rewarded with breathtaking photo opportunities throughout the trail.
Kids’ Loop (Easy)
Begins with a walk the through neighborhood to Olympia Park and onto a woodland trail with old house foundations, over 200-year-old oak trees and sweeping views across the hilltop (approx. 1.5 miles.) Olympia Park has a playground and an enclosed dog park.
Sidewalk Loop (Easy)
The perfect alternative to the trails—3.83 miles through the charming, grand and historic Mount Washington with access to business districts and its famous, list-topping city views.
